2. Get the ball into Chris Tyree’s hands

Chris Tyree needs to have the ball more in his hands for the Notre Dame offense to be successful. So far in 2022 Tyree has 26 carries for 109 yards and eight receptions for 64 yards with one receiving touchdown. The touchdown came in last week’s victory over California.

Rees has to try and get Tyree more involved moving forward in the offensive game plan. Whether that be rushing or in the receiving game. Former running back Kyren Williams is no longer here to carry the load in the backfield for the Irish like in years past.

The Irish have a good running back room featuring Tyree, Audric Estime, and Logan Diggs. This is why the offense can maybe line Tyree up more in the slot, motion him out in the passing game, or even draw up more screens for him as well.

Tyree has incredible speed and a make-you-miss type arsenal in his game. He is also deep on kickoffs which shows you the type of player he is for Notre Dame. Rees and Pyne need to get the ball in his hands more moving forward and let him show off his impressive speed and moves in the opening space.

Here is a prime example of what Tyree can do on the field. Just ask Wisconsin about his athletic abilities on the field last year.
