1. Homefield advantage is a very real thing at Neyland Stadium
The Tennessee Volunteers play inside Neyland Stadium, one of the largest FBS college football stadiums in the United States.
Heading into the 2022 season, Neyland Stadium has a reported capacity of 101,915, placing them in that rarefied six-figure air that only eight schools can claim to have for their football teams.
This is going to be a tough environment for the Gators to compete. This is a team used to competing in a crowd of 88,548 inside The Swamp at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville.
There’s an expectation that this may be the loudest game ever held inside the famed stadium. The mark is set at 118 db, which was set last year when Lane Kiffin returned to Neyland Stadium for the first time since he defected to go coach the USC Trojans.
Fans have been lining up for the game’s festivities since Thursday morning, according to Richard West, a reporter based in south Knoxville. Kick-off is scheduled for Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET.
Yep, these fans are hyped and it’s going to be unbelievably loud for Florida anytime they have the ball or Tennessee scores a touchdown.
