No. 15 Oregon (-6.5) at Washington State

Washington State has already pulled off one shocker already this season, winning at Wisconsin 17-14. Oregon, on the other hand, has already suffered defeat at the hands of Georgia.

That first game went about as bad as it could have possibly gone for the Ducks who lost 49-3. But first-year head coach Dan Lanning is getting things rolling. The Ducks have been dominant the past two weeks and cruised past BYU 40-21 at home last week.

Yet, what gives me pause is that this game is in Pullman and that’s going to be a wild atmosphere, sort of like Oregon State and I still don’t trust Bo Nix.

Nix can be great at times and terrible at others. I’m also a big fan of Cameron Ward, who might be able to make just enough plays to stun the Ducks who are fresh off a big win. The Cougars also won’t be bullied off the line of scrimmage as they showed against Wisconsin and as flashy as people think Oregon is, the Ducks are about winning in the trenches.

That won’t be easy on Saturday.
