For the first time this season, Michigan looked mortal. The Wolverines struggled against Maryland through the first half and went into halftime with a slim lead.

Heck, neither team scored in the third quarter so Maryland and No. 4 Michigan were heading into the fourth quarter with a 17-13 lead and every Wolverine fan was holding their breath. Were they really that fooled by three blowout wins over cupcake teams?

Well, thankfully for Michigan, Blake Corum exists.

The Michigan running back rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns just one week after crossing the goal-line five times.

JJ McCarthy looked human for the first time in his young career as a starter, throwing for 220 yards and two touchdowns but he struggled on his down-field throws.

Michigan fans might be slightly worried about this one, but a win’s a win. The Wolverines may drop a spot, though.
