College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 5
Alabama got its easiest SEC test of the season with Vanderbilt coming to town and the Tide passed with flying colors.
No one expected the Commodores to put up much of a fight against the Tide and, well, they didn’t. Alabama was up 31-3 at halftime and just walked to an easy win to kick off conference play.
Bryce Young looked like his normal Heisman-winning self, passing for 385 yards and four touchdowns and he just helped his repeat campaign here.
I don’t think this win was good enough to vault the Crimson Tide back to No. 1 in the rankings, but it will get them more first-place votes. They’re going to push Georgia and vice versa all season long but this won’t be settled until the SEC title game, more than likely.
Nick Saban’s team has really figured things out since that 20-19 thriller at Texas in Week 2.
