Was Kentucky just a tad overrated heading into this game? Yeah, probably, but that’s exactly what AP voters have been doing through the first three weeks: overreacting to every “big” win or loss.

The Wildcats beat Florida on the road and jumped all the way up into the top 10 and then they struggled in Week 4 with Northern Illinois at home.

Will Levis was able to keep his team afloat when nothing seemed to be going right as he passed for over 300 yards and four touchdowns on 18-of-26 completions. He looks like one of the best quarterbacks in the SEC and if you’re a Kentucky fan, you have to feel confident in the leader of the offense.

Kentucky was able to hold on to beat Northern Illinois 31-23 but uninspired is probably the best way to describe this win and I don’t think AP voters are going to be overly impressed with this.
