Who are the college football winners and losers from Week 4?

We saw some outstanding games during Week 4 of college football, including upsets by Texas Tech, Middle Tennessee State, and Texas A&M.

Michigan, USC, and Kentucky narrowly avoided upsets this week, all winning by eight points or fewer against unranked opponents.

After a chaotic week, let’s dive in and take a look at some winners and losers from Week 4.

College Football Week 4 Winner: Tennessee Volunteers

The Vols finally did it: they snapped their five-game losing streak to Florida and got just their second win over the Gators since 2004.

In this highly anticipated Top-20 matchup, Florida QB Anthony Richardson stepped up and had his best game of the season after a horrific past two weeks. His 453 passing yards and 4 total touchdowns were almost enough to withstand the 102,000 fans inside Neyland Stadium.

Down 17 with less than five minutes to play, the Gators went on a 9-0 scoring run, recovered the onside kick, and got as close as the Tennessee 39-yard line before Richardson threw a pick as time expired.

But as well as Richardson played, it was Tennessee QB Hendon Hooker and his 461 total yards of offense that came out on top and improved to 4-0 on the season.
