Texas A&M Football: 3 takeaways from clutch win over Arkansas

2. Evan Stewart, Donovan Green are going to be special
True freshman Evan Stewart seemed to find himself open almost every offensive play and even though Max Johnson didn’t find him every time — he did find him when it was important, for example, this touchdown that put the Aggies on the board. He had three catches for 36 yards and the touchdown but could have had more if Johnson would have found him down the field more.
Look for him to continue to be involved in a big way as the season unfolds.
Tight end Donovan Green, also a true freshman, was able to make many big-time plays as well. He was the Aggies leading receiver with three catches for 50 yards and will likely become even more involved throughout the season now that he has shown that he is what this team needs at tight end.
Things are looking up for this Aggie offense as Johnson gets used to the scheme and finds his favorite targets that are trustworthy and ready to make the big play and these are just two of those options.
