Middle Tennessee State at No. 25 Miami (-25.5)

We talked about this during our gut reactions to College Football Week 4 but this is the kind of loss that can get a head coach on a hot seat really quick.

Luckily, Mario Cristobal is going to have a grace period. Yet, Hurricane fans aren’t going to have much patience and over the past two weeks, the offense has looked absolutely horrible against Texas A&M and Middle Tennessee State.

The loss to A&M was forgivable. You can’t lose to Middle Tennessee State at home as a 25-point favorite. You just can’t.

Tyler Van Dyke, the quarterback being talked about as a first-round pick was benched, while the Blue Raiders’ Chase Cunningham went off to the tune of 408 yards and three touchdowns. He completed 64 percent of his passes and averaged a ridiculous 16 yards per pass attempt.

A 98-yard touchdown pass will help with that and regardless, Miami doesn’t look like the drastically improved team the Hurricanes were expected to be.
