I’d find someone
On my level
I could make time
Caught me off guard
When you showed me the real
Caught me off guard

What do the Big 12 football power rankings look like?

Welcome back to headquarters between The Red River and Bedlam. If there is one thing we’ve learned through the years about Big 12 football: it is ripe for upsets. This conference epitomizes the moniker “Any Given Weekend.”

The Kansas State Wildcats have the Sooners’ number. They’ve defeated Oklahoma three of the last four seasons. Given Kansas State’s loss to Tulane the week before, there was no evidence they would be able to beat Oklahoma. The same could be said about Texas Tech’s upset against Texas. It seems like we’ve seen this song from the Longhorns before.

The Red Raiders traveled to Raleigh and lost to North Carolina State. Both games show what happens when you get caught off guard.

The Kansas Jayhawks have not been caught off guard this season. First, they should be ranked. Second, Jalon Daniels should be on every Unitas, Maxwell, and Heisman watchlist in every publication in the country. Kansas is not going away, and Daniels is the reason why.

So, to rivalries between Red Rivers and Showdowns in Sunflowers, here are the Big 12 football power rankings going into Week 5.
