Five SEC Football teams enter Week 5 undefeated and they are all ranked inside the AP Top 25: No. 1 Georgia, No. 2 Alabama, No. 7 Kentucky, No. 8 Tennessee, and No. 14 Ole Miss.

One of the best college football games of the week is an SEC game and it’s none other than Kentucky at Ole Miss, a battle between two teams seeking to retain their title as darkhorse candidates to win their respective divisions with a win this week.

Before we dive into predictions for this week, some things to note:

  • Because of the threat imposed by Hurricane Ian in Florida and the eastern seaboard, the SEC announced some changes to the league’s schedule. South Carolina has moved its game up to Thursday, September 29 at 7 PM ET and Florida has moved its game back to Sunday, Oct. 2 at 12 p.m. ET, according to a release from the SEC.
  • Tennessee and Vanderbilt are not playing, utilizing their open date to rest
  • SEC Nation is headed to The Grove for Week 5 in Oxford, Miss., for the festivities leading up to the best game of the week.

Let’s dive into some SEC football Week 5 predictions, starting with the Gamecocks matchup with in-state foe South Carolina State.
