Alabama Football: Crimson Tide Roll against #20 Arkansas on the road

Alabama Football traveled to Arkansas and came away with an impressive win against the #20 Arkansas Razorbacks:

Some thought that Alabama running back Jahmyr Gibbs was not getting the football enough. Gibbs did not have a big game up to this point. Gibbs had two 70-plus yard runs to help put the game away in the Crimson Tide road win.

The game’s tide seemed to turn when Alabama starting quarterback Bryce Young left the game in the second quarter with what appeared to be a shoulder injury. Arkansas scored before halftime and opened the third quarter with a score. The Razorbacks recovered an onside kick to get the game to 28-14.

Arkansas got within five points at the end of the fourth quarter, 28-23, assisted by some miscues by Alabama and solid play by the Razorbacks. Arkansas, however, would get no closer as the Alabama running game would own the rest of the game.

Backup quarterback Jalen Milroe started things with a 77-yard run that set up the first three Alabama touchdowns in the fourth quarter. The defense stepped up after allowing the Razorbacks to return to the game in the fourth quarter.

Quarterback KJ Jefferson did not get in a rhythm throwing the football today. Give credit to all three levels of Alabama’s defense. They played well save the third quarter.
