Who’s the celebrity picker for College GameDay Week 5, Clemson vs. NC State?

College GameDay is back for another edition and this week, it’ll feature one of the best games of the entire season and a rare top-10 matchup in early October.

Clemson will be the focus of the weekly ESPN show as the No. 5 Tigers will host No. 10 NC State on Saturday night. This is going to go a long way in deciding the champion of the ACC and it has serious playoff vibes.

Before the two teams take the field, we’ll see GameDay host its weekly pick ’em with a celebrity guest picker. Last week, Volunteer fans got a WWE superstar, and this week, it’s someone who Clemson fans know and love all too well.

Who’s the Week 5 College GameDay guest speaker?

Clemson fans are going to be happier about this one than Ohio State and Tennessee fans were about their selections.

Tiger legend Christian Wilkins will be the guest picker for this week’s show.

Wilkins had a heck of a career at Clemson, winning two national titles, four ACC titles, and he recorded 192 total tackles, 40.5 tackles for loss, and 16 sacks. He was an absolute demon on the defensive side of the ball and one of the main reasons Clemson’s defense was feared from 2015-2018.

After his impressive Clemson career, he was drafted No. 13 overall in the 2019 NFL Draft by the Dolphins and he’s been in Miami ever since. He’s fresh off a career year in 2021 where he started 17 games and had 89 tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks.

Miami played on Thursday night this week so Wilkins has the time to spend the rest of his weekend at Clemson, taking in the game of the week.
