Troy Calhoun, HC Air Force

It’s kind of ironic because when Air Force dominated Colorado football 49-7 this season, that was basically the final straw. It had to be. The Falcons owned the Buffs and it’s not supposed to be that way.

Colorado has been the top program in the state for a long time. At least it was. It used to be in the top 25 all the time. Things have fallen off and a guy who’s won in the state for over a decade would be a great choice.

You are going to see Calhoun on just about every Colorado head-coaching list. That’s because some things make too much sense. He’s won 115 games and coached the academy (not an easy place to recruit) to 11 bowl games.

Convincing Calhoun to leave Air Force won’t be easy but Colorado football absolutely has to try. The Buffaloes need a program builder which leads me to my next choice.
