4. No. 17 Texas A&M football at Mississippi State

Jimbo Fisher didn’t get fired as Texas A&M head football coach on Saturday following a second consecutive loss to Mississippi State, but the fans are growing restless and they should be.

Mississippi State doesn’t recruit like Texas A&M football does and even though many players from the top-ranked 2022 class are just freshmen this season, the Aggies should have the edge in overall talented by a wide margin.

Yet, it was the Bulldogs who beat the doors off the Aggies for the second-straight season. Mike Leach’s Bulldogs dominated and scored the first two touchdowns of the game. Will Rogers is everything Texas A&M football wishes Max Johnson could be. Rogers was 31-of-45 for 329 yards and three touchdowns. He threw zero interceptions.

Texas A&M was ranked coming in and just like last week when the Aggies beat the Razorbacks, we gave them the benefit of calling it an upset. And even though Mississippi State was slightly favored at home beating No. 18 as an unranked team is an upset in my book and that’s now two losses in a row for Texas A&M football at the hands of the mad scientist.
