2. Greg Schiano needs to show progress

After starting 3-0, Rutgers has lost two straight, against a tough Iowa defense, and the dominant force in the Big Ten, Ohio State. To stop the downward trend, Rutgers needs to win this game.

With a very young team, Rutgers needs to show offensive progression if it wants to keep improving.

With the Scarlet Knights’ starting quarterback, Noah Vedral, coming back, he could have the leadership that this offense needs to show out. It seems like Vedral has some type of issue with his hand, practicing with a glove on, so that may be something to look out for during the game.

For Rutgers to have their first winning season since 2014, they need this game. After a long time sitting out, Vedral will need to get any rust off quickly to compete with Nebraska’s offense.
