The SEC Football Week 6 schedule is here and we have five bold predictions for you before things kickoff on Oct. 8

This week marks the halfway point for SEC football, giving us a pretty solid idea of which teams are contenders and have the best shot at making it to the SEC Championship game at the end of the season.

As things stand entering Week 6, it looks like Ole Miss is best suited to challenge Alabama in the West, while Tennessee looks to be the biggest threat to unseat defending National Champions Georgia.

Luckily, we’ll get some championship-caliber games when these four teams play each other in the coming weeks. We’ll see Tennessee and Alabama square off on Oct. 15, Georgia vs Tennessee on Nov. 5, and Ole Miss and Alabama on Nov. 12.

Before we dive into some SEC Football Week 6 predictions, a few things to note:

  • All 14 SEC football teams are playing conference opponents this week. This is the first of only three weeks this season in which that will happen.
  • Half of the teams in the conference are currently ranked in the AP Top 25 (No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Georgia, No. 8 Tennessee, No. 9 Ole Miss, No. 13 Kentucky, No. 23 Mississippi State, and No. 25 LSU).
  • SEC Nation will be on-site in Starkville for Week 6 to spotlight the Arkansas Razorbacks taking on the Mississippi State Bulldogs.
  • Tennessee is breaking out their “Smokey Grey” uniforms for the first time since 2017.

Let’s dive into five bold predictions for an exciting week of SEC football.
