I’m going to be completely honest here: I didn’t think Texas was going to beat Oklahoma, let alone by 49 points in a shutout. It was one of the most lopsided Red River Rivalry games in the history of the series and I think it’s good enough to get Texas back into the AP Top 25 despite having two losses this year. Texas with Quinn Ewers is just a different beast.

Purdue started the season with a home loss against Penn State in what would have been the perfect Spoilermaker opportunity, but the Boilermakers have since made up for it. After shocking a ranked Minnesota team on the road last week, Purdue beat a Maryland team that may have had a bid for the AP Top 25 with a win. Two weeks, two really good road wins. Purdue should be ranked.

Syracuse had a bye week, but this season is saving Dino Babers’ job as he looks to be leading the most improved team in the ACC.

In arguably one of the ugliest games of the year, Kansas State remained undefeated in Big 12 play, going on the road to beat a pesky Iowa State team, 10-9. An 81-yard touchdown pass in the first quarter by Adrian Martinez was the only non-field goal of the game as the Wildcats scored just one more time in the fourth quarter to win by one.

I thought this game would be much closer, but with KJ Jefferson sidelined, I don’t think the Razorbacks really stood a chance to keep up offensively. I was more surprised that the Bulldogs were able to put up 40 on Arkansas’ defense. Mike Leach’s team keeps trucking along and they’re now 5-1 on the year after the 40-17 win.
