College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 7
Sam Hartman and Wake Forest just keep rolling and this team they dismantled Army 45-10. The win improves the Demon Deacons to 5-1 on the season and they look like contenders to win the ACC with Hartman under center. But he didn’t even need to do much as he passed for 246 yards and a score and his run game had four touchdowns.
Florida State looked like it was in the driver’s seat all night long against NC State but the Wolfpack fought back and found a way to win in the second half. After trailing 17-3 at halftime, the Wolfpack scored 16 straight second-half points to escape an upset. The ACC is beating itself up this year.
Max Duggan and the Horned Frogs look fantastic this season and who would have thought they’d be undefeated at this point in the year after beating a ranked Kansas team on the road? Definitely not me. The Horned Frogs just keep surprising folks and they’ll be moving up.
Folks, this is not a drill: UCLA is back. The Bruins picked up a big win over Washington last week and followed that up with a victory over No. 11 Utah on Saturday. Chip Kelly’s team might make a bid for the top 10 this season but it’ll have to settle for top 15. I’m buying stock in the Bruins now.
Arizona has been one of the most improved teams in the Pac-12 this season, but Oregon didn’t really care about that. The Ducks blew the doors off the Wildcats on the road. Bo Nix continues to prove me wrong and look like one of the best quarterbacks in the Pac-12 and the defense stood tall. The Dan Lanning era is off to a great start.
