Penn State was one of those lucky top-10 teams that escaped utter chaos in Week 6 and had a bye week.

The Nittany Lions snuck into the top 10 last week after escaping a home scare against a surprisingly tough Northwestern team but they’ll have to continue to improve after the bye if they want to hang on to this spot.

I think James Franklin’s team will remain in the top 10 this week despite having the bye but a team like UCLA or even TCU may push them here.

Sean Clifford needs to continue to get better and more consistent through the air as the ground game has carried this team.

Still, this looks like your typical Big Ten East-contending Penn State team.
