Loser: Utah Utes

There was a small faction of Utah fans that were hoping they may still have a shot at making the College Football Playoff at the end of the season with some losses by a few teams currently ranked ahead of them.

But, with the 10-point loss at UCLA, the Utes can kiss their playoff dreams goodbye. There’s no way the Utes will get any consideration after losing to a bad Florida team and then suffering a double-digit loss to UCLA. Expect Utah to fall pretty far in the next batch of polls.

Loser: Miami Hurricanes

Things keep getting worse for Miami Hurricanes Head Coach Mario Cristobal and his football team. The Canes suffered their third-consecutive loss of the season and fell to 2-3 on the season after UNC came into Hard Rock Stadium and pitched a shutout for two quarters, creating a massive hole they couldn’t pull themselves out of this week.

What’s even worse, is that Miami lost this game despite coming off a Bye Week. They had not played a game since being upset by Middle Tennessee on Sept. 24. What is going on with Cristobal and his Canes? This is obviously a rebuilding year, but it appears things are going to get worse before they get better.
