Looking back at College Football Week 6, here are the five biggest overreactions as we head into the middle of October.

If you haven’t looked at the college football schedule for this upcoming weekend you should. I’m worried if you haven’t already. You might need to do some last-minute planning but make sure you are free to sit in front of the couch all day.

Alabama-Tennessee, Michigan-Penn State, Oklahoma State-TCU, Syracuse-NC State (both in the top 20), Mississippi State-Kentucky, USC-Utah, and UCLA-Oregon are among the top 25 matchups in Week 7 of the college football season.

We are going to find out a lot about teams ranked in the top 20 this week and that’s exciting. Before we look ahead to this weekend though, here’s a look back at College Football Week 6 and some of the biggest overreactions.

Thinking it’s time to doubt Alabama

There are some people who are going to bet against Alabama this week against Tennessee and my advice is to do that at your own risk.

The status of Bryce Young is going to be important. We also don’t know if he’s going to be himself but Saturday’s game is huge for the Crimson Tide. If they lose then there is no margin for error in the playoff race

The fact that Alabama has to play on the road also could lead folks to doubt Alabama this week. Doubting Nick Saban is dangerous, especially if Young is back.

It was announced before the A&M game that Young was going to start and then Jalen Milroe started for Alabama but if Young is back in the saddle this weekend (hopefully) thinking Alabama isn’t one of the best teams in college football is an overreaction.
