Could the Pac-12 be decided in SoCal?

Why did you have to
Go and fool after
We had got along so fine
But surprise, surprise
Surprise, surprise
Ain’t nothing strange to me
Knew you was telling lies
Knew you was telling lies
I could see it in your eyes

Surprise, Surprise by The Rolling Stones

The last couple of weeks have been full of revelations and surprises in the Pac-12. Everyone should stop waiting for the UCLA Bruins to fall off and accept they are a good football team. Washington’s issues on the back end of its defense have reared their ugly head in its last two losses, which is ironic about the Huskies.

Two quarterbacks in the conference have shown another level to their game. UCLA quarterback Dorian-Thompson Robinson has surprised everyone by playing the best football of his college career. Auburn transfer Bo Nix has been consistently good this season after the Georgia game.

The surprise of the week belongs to the Arizona State Sun Devils. Since the school parted ways with Herman Edwards, they’d been an afterthought. After their 45-38 upset of Washington, teams might have to remember about them.

So to Apple Cups, Civil Wars, and Territorial Cups, here are the Pac-12 Power Rankings heading into week seven.
