12. Colorado Buffaloes (0-5, 0-2)

The Buffaloes were off this week after parting ways with former head coach Karl Dorrell and defensive coordinator Chris Wilson. Offensive coordinator Mike Sanford took over as interim head coach, and defensive line coach Gerald Chatman was promoted to defensive coordinator. Sanford has been outspoken about how energetic and hungry he is to make good.

The sentiment is good, but the Buffaloes do not have a Power Five roster, and there is not a clear win left on the schedule.

11. Stanford Cardinal (1-4, 0-4)

Head coach David Shaw has to be sick at how the Cardinal lost to Oregon State on Saturday. The way Stanford has looked this season might have been its last winnable game this season. No one is talking about Shaw’s job security because of how difficult the job has become, but it might be time to start talking about it.

10. Arizona Wildcats (3-3, 1-2)

Arizona’s three wins are more than they’ve had the last two seasons, so it is okay if they find themselves in a win-one, lose-one pattern this season. If Arizona wins five games this year, that matches its win total from the last three seasons. The schedule continues to be problematic, with Washington, USC, Utah, and UCLA up next.

9. Arizona State Wildcats (2-4, 1-2)

After a competitive first half against the #7 USC Trojans, the Sun Devils notched its first win under interim head coach Shaun Aguano, upsetting the #21 Washington Huskies. Does this win say more about the Sun Devils or the Huskies?
