What do the Big 12 football power rankings look like?
Several teams in the Big 12 are trying to bust loose this week. The Kansas State Wildcats find themselves tied for first place in the conference; its loss to Tulane (the Green Wave is good, by the way) seems like it was last season. Texas took the Sooners behind the woodshed at the Cotton Bowl. Quinn Ewers has Longhorns fans saying, “Arch who?”
Oklahoma State — and Kansas State — were in survive and advance mode with close wins against Texas Tech and Iowa State, respectively.
Speaking of the Cyclones, Matt Campbell is likely safe in Ames because of what’s happening this season. The Athletic writer Stewart Mandel picked the Sooners to go 7-5; he might be wrong. Oklahoma could find itself fighting for its bowl lives in Bedlam.
So, to frogs that look like dinosaurs, livestock as mascots, and a poker-faced cowboy, here are your Big 12 football power rankings heading into week seven.
