What a day Saturday was. College football is the greatest sport for a reason.

The day started off with some big games like Michigan hosting Penn State and it was close for over two quarters but the Wolverines pulled away in the end, 41-17. Are the Wolverines the Big Ten’s best team? Ohio State didn’t get a rebuttal because it had a bye week, but the discussion needs to be had.

Kansas at Oklahoma was another great game early on, but it ended up in an “upset” as the Jayhawks, down a quarterback, lost to the Sooners who got Dillon Gabriel back.

In the afternoon slate, Tennessee hosted Alabama and won on a last-second field goal in what was arguably the game of the year. Who would have guessed these two teams would combine for over 100 points? Not me. This win should vault the Vols in the rankings.

Syracuse took care of NC State at the Carrier Dome as the bounce-back season is in full force and TCU remained red-hot with a massive comeback win over Oklahoma State in overtime.

The night slate concluded with more ranked matchups and just as wild of action. What a week this was for college football fans.

What will the AP Top 25 look like on Sunday when the new rankings are released?
