College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 8
I am so high on Tennessee right now that it should be illegal.
The Volunteers knew they’d have to put forth their best effort in order to beat Alabama on Saturday night in Knoxville and they did just that in front of one of the best crowds in years.
They played the game of the year against the Tide, winning on a last-second field goal and the Tennessee fans were so happy to end the losing streak against Alabama that they took the goalpost out of the stadium and walked to bars with it after the game. It was a scene right out of a movie.
Josh Heupel deserves a ton of credit for this turnaround. I didn’t expect Tennessee to be this good this quickly, but the players have bought in and this team is just fun to watch.
Oh, and is it finally time to talk about Hendon Hooker as a serious Heisman candidate? It has to be time.
