Ohio State had the week off and it comes at a good time with the meat of the schedule approaching. Plus, the Buckeyes just jumped up to No. 2 in the rankings last week after shellacking Michigan State on the road.

The Buckeyes will host Iowa next week as a nice warmup before seeing Penn State on the road in two weeks.

Things don’t get any easier, but this is the best team in the Big Ten right now despite the Michigan blowout win over the Nittany Lions.

I don’t see Ohio State dropping at all despite the Wolverines dominating Penn State but the voting will be rather close.

Voters love to hype up big wins so we could see Michigan here at two but I don’t see them rising two spots with Ohio State on a bye.

CJ Stroud and Co. will be back to work this week to justify that No. 2 ranking.
