5 intriguing storylines to track during huge College Football Week 8 slate
Can No. 6 Alabama avoid it’s first two-game regular season losing streak since 2007?
The last time Alabama lost two consecutive regular season games, George W. Bush was still the President of the United State, Nick Saban was in his first season as Head Coach of the Crimson Tide, and the year was 2007.
Alabama has not been a team that’s lost back-to-back games during the regular season under Saban. They’ll look to maintain that impressive streak when they host Mike Leach and the Mississippi State Bulldogs coming off a loss to Tennessee last week.
Mississippi State QB Will Rogers had one of his worst games of the season last week at No. 22 Kentucky and will have to bounce back in a big way to test the Tide in Tuscaloosa. No one is picking the Bulldogs to win and the Bulldogs should use that as a massive chip on their shoulder entering the game.
Will Rogers threw for 300 yards against Alabama last year but was picked off three times. That can’t happen again this year. Bryce Young had a Heisman-worthy performance in last year’s meeting, throwing for 348 yards and 4 TD.
All eyes are on Bama and whether or not they will come out of this game unscathed before they face LSU and No. 7 Ole Miss the following week.
