3 takeaways from LSU Football’s dominating upset of Ole Miss
Did Ole Miss get exposed?
Looking at the box score, you might not believe that the Rebels lost by 25 points. They racked up more than 400 yards of total offense but the running game struggled.
Quinshon Judkins totaled 111 yards yet it took him 25 carries to get there which is still 4.4 yards but 37 attempts total, including the sacks of Jaxson Dart, yielded just 116 yards, which is just 3.13 yards per attempt.
The Rebels ran over their opponents in their biggest wins this season and that just didn’t happen. Dart took too many sacks, wasn’t good enough on the plus side of the field and had a turnover.
The season isn’t over but the Rebels now need Alabama to beat LSU. If that happens, they would control their own destiny once again. It would also help them reach a major bowl once again.
Even worse, Lane Kiffin has started to emerge as a candidate for Nebraska football’s opening and the end of a perfect season could help in the Huskers’ pursuit. It’s too early to say if there are any legs to the rumors but you wonder how this loss will impact things?
