College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 9
Tennessee got a bye week, of sorts, against UT Martin and, well, the game was as lopsided as you’d expect.
Tennessee had no problem putting points on the board, per usual, cashing in on 65 points for the win thanks to another big day from Hendon Hooker. He passed for 276 yards and three touchdowns on 18-of-24 completions. The game was so out of hand that we got to see the backups like Joe Milton and he had a solid game with 135 yards and a score on seven attempts.
The Volunteers finished the game with nearly 700 yards but their defense also gave up nearly 400 yards to the Skyhawks of UT Martin. Not great.
This was still a needed break after taking down Alabama last week and facing a team like UT Martin ensured that no hangover happened.
Tennessee will face Kentucky at home next week before getting Georgia in an epic showdown on Nov. 5.
