College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 9
Things didn’t look great for Ohio State early in the game, but the Buckeyes bounced back in a big way, throttling Iowa 54-10 after trailing 7-3 early on. Yes, the Buckeyes out-scored Iowa 51-3 after trailing in the first quarter. This team can be an absolute machine when it wants to be.
Ryan Day’s guys piled on in the third and fourth quarters, scoring 28 unanswered points in the second half after taking a 26-10 lead into halftime. The field goal-heavy first half was responded to by a four-touchdown second half.
CJ Stroud had yet another solid game after a slow start, passing for 286 yards and four touchdowns against one of the best defenses in the Big Ten.
Let me repeat: Iowa had one of the best defenses in the Big Ten and Ohio State dropped 54 points on the Hawkeyes. That’s insane.
This conference is a two-team race at the moment between Ohio State and Michigan.
