College Football Rankings 2022: Projected AP Top 25 for Week 9
Georgia got a bye week after stomping Vanderbilt 55-0 in Week 7 and the Bulldogs have now out-scored their last two opponents 97-10 after surviving a scare against Missouri a few weeks ago.
The Bulldogs are going to retain this top spot despite Ohio State looking really good in the second half against Iowa to run away with a win.
Georgia returns from its bye to face rival Florida in the World’s Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party and it should be a comfortable win considering how shaky the Gators have looked this season. But that will prepare them for one of their toughest tests of the season in November: No. 3 Tennessee.
All things seem to be trending toward a massive showdown in Athens on Nov. 5 between a couple of top-five teams.
For now, though, the Bulldogs will look to get healthy and rested during the bye and stay at No. 1.
