Clemson still has question marks but it might not matter

Saturday wasn’t pretty but when you are undefeated in college football, you don’t need style points. You just need to keep winning and the Tigers found a way to do that on Saturday despite the poor play of DJ Uiagalelei.

Uiagalelei and the Tigers had scored 30 points or more in each game this season and while they fell just short of that, the former five-star QB had two interceptions and the old worries about him resurfaced (Dabo has reaffirmed him as the starter).

Syracuse is legitimate on the defensive side of the ball and The Orange are going to regret blowing a 21-10 lead on the road. As far as Clemson is concerned, the schedule is still pretty manageable.

Notre Dame is up next, plus there is Miami, South Carolina, and Louisville, then a likely meeting with North Carolina. Another conference win and the Tigers will have the division title clinched.

And even though some of their wins have taken come-from-behind magic, Clemson is well on its way back to the College Football Playoff and with that in mind, let’s get out our playoff projections after College Football Week 8.
