1. The defense can only do so much

The Aggie defense hasn’t been terrible this season, even though this three-man front Durkin is running isn’t the best for what the Aggies have upfront. But that is neither here nor there. The argument here is this — the defense cannot win these games on their own. They forced two turnovers and forced a handful of three-and-outs, but it wasn’t enough because the offense could not pull its weight.

These are guys that are extremely talented and have made big play after big play throughout the season, however, they can’t be asked to bail out the offense week in and week out because they can not produce points or really even first downs at this point.

Shout out to guys like Fadil Diggs and Bryce Anderson — among others — for keeping this game close, but overall? You have got to get ht offense going before you see a mass exodus and a once-promising program falling apart at the seams.
