Texas A&M football gets beaten by South Carolina
South Carolina is a good football team and we need to give credit where it is due. The Gamecocks were ready to go and they blew the doors off the Aggies before they knew what hit them, building a 17-0 lead and never looking back.
All of a sudden, South Carolina is ranked. What’s more, is that Spencer Rattler didn’t even play that well. He completed 12-of-25 passes for 168 yards. But he didn’t throw an interception. South Carolina also ran for over 150 yards and despite not getting 300 total, the Gamecocks took advantage of their opportunities.
Texas A&M football came into the game as a three-point favorite according to Fan Duel and since the game was on the road, it tells you that oddsmakers felt the Aggies were nearly a touchdown better.
That seems hard to believe now. South Carolina was the more physical team and the quarterback position continues to be a struggle for A&M.
Making a bowl game is now going to be a struggle for Texas A&M football and as was suggested here on Saturday Blitz, it might be time to turn the team over to Conner Weigman.
