2. Notre Dame’s run game can be unstoppable

We’ve seen Notre Dame’s run game lead the way for the offense on numerous occasions this season. The Irish have a top-50 run game in the country and a very lackluster passing attack and that continued on Saturday.

Drew Pyne wasn’t on his game all day long and we even saw a heated phone call exchange between Tommy Rees and the starting quarterback but he didn’t need to be. He finished with just 116 yards and a touchdown on 9-of-19 passing with one pick as well.

But he was picked up by Audric Estime and Logan Diggs.

Estime led the way with 123 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries and Diggs finished with 85 yards and a touchdown on 20 touches as well. If those two can get the touches, they’re incredibly hard to stop and 200-plus rushing yards combined can be a regular occurrence.
