It wasn’t looking pretty for Ohio State football on Saturday afternoon as it traveled to Happy Valley for a huge top-15 battle against Penn State.

Early on, it was all Buckeyes as they raced out to a quick 10-0 lead, but from that point on in the first half, Penn State took over. Sean Clifford bounced back from his shaky start to take a 14-13 lead at halftime and after falling behind early in the second half, the Nittany Lions swiped a 21-16 lead back.

Ohio State was able to clutch up and turn that five-point second-half deficit into a 20-point lead after a JT Tuimoloau pick-six.

The game was sewn up thanks to a clutch finish by the offense and the defense with some complementary play. What’d we learn from this massive road win for the Buckeyes?

3. JT Tuimoloau isn’t human

If you didn’t know the name JT Tuimoloau before Saturday, you do now.

College football fans got acclimated with one of the rising stars in the sport on Saturday afternoon as he dominated the Penn State offense. He finished with six tackles, three tackles for loss, two sacks, a pass breakup, a forced fumble, and two interceptions, including a pick-six to put the game out of reach.

Ohio State seems to always have these stars on the defensive line dating back to the Bosas and Chase Young and now it looks like Tuimoloau is going to be the next superstar.

We’re going to see his stock take off as the season comes to a close and he’s going to be a legit top NFL prospect for the next couple of years. There’s a reason he was the No. 1 prospect in the nation heading into college.
