College Football Playoff Rankings 2022: Projected Top 25 for Week 11
The Bijan Robinson show was fun to watch on Saturday evening as he rushed for 200 yards and a touchdown to lead the Longhorns to a massive road win over No. 13 Kansas State. The Longhorns look to be a legit threat in the Big 12 and after winning this one, they should jump considerably and I’m thinking they’ll be the highest-ranked three-loss team in the country.
Penn State is a tough team to judge every week. One week the Nittany Lions are keeping pace with Ohio State and the next they’re losing by a million to Michigan. This week, however, the Nittany Lions had their way with a bad Indiana team on the road. This was just a completely dominant performance as the defense held Indiana to under 200 yards and the offense approached 500.
Cameron Rising didn’t have his best game against Arizona, passing for just 151 yards and a touchdown on 13-of-25 completions and with a line like that, you’d think the Wildcats pulled off the upset. Not so fast. Kyle Whittingham’s team had its way with Arizona, 45-20. The defense didn’t look great but the run game carried the Utes to a big win.
Right when it looked like Clemson was going to make a statement and really solidify a spot in the playoff field, the Tigers were dismantled by an unranked Notre Dame team on the road. Clemson looked awful against Notre Dame and barely even got on the scoreboard. Not exactly what you’d expect from a playoff team. This may have officially eliminated the Tigers from contention.
Defense was optional between UCLA and Arizona State on Saturday night as we got some #Pac12AfterDark action in Tempe. The Bruins avoided an upset, beating Arizona State in the desert, 50-36. Dorian Thompson-Robinson passed for 169 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for another 120 yards and two scores as the Bruins will flirt with the top 10 this week.
