College Football Playoff Rankings 2022: Projected Top 25 for Week 11
How much will the committee punish Alabama for a second road loss this season by less than seven points? I don’t think too harshly. The Tide won’t be in that top-six anymore obviously, but I can see them sitting at No. 10 when the new rankings come out on Tuesday night.
Alabama’s first loss was to a team in Tennessee that rose all the way to No. 1 in the first playoff rankings and it was by just a field goal on the road.
The Tide’s loss on Saturday was at LSU by just one point in overtime. It’s hard to say that they’re having an “off-year” because of these two losses by a total of four points, especially because a couple of plays are the difference between a 7-2 record and barely top 10 and 9-0 and No. 1 in the nation.
Nick Saban’s team now will try to become a two-loss playoff threat.
