Here’s a look ahead to College Football Week 11 with bold predictions and upset alerts as the College Football Playoff chase heats up.

As hard as it is to believe, college football fans, we have three weeks left of the regular season. That’s it. Then it’s championship week, selection Sunday and the Heisman Trophy ceremony.

Life comes at you fast, just ask Mario Cristobal and the Miami Hurricanes. It’s been a bad season and a really bad week. Miami lost 49-3 to Florida State last week, which was enough for top-100 QB and prized 2023 commitment, Jaden Rashada, to flip his commitment to the Florida Gators.

Maybe Mario wishes deep down he was still at Oregon, which essentially controls its College Football Playoff destiny at this point.

At any rate, the Ducks will be among the teams challenged in College Football Week 11. They will host Washington in a top-25 matchup. The other marquee games are Alabama-Ole Miss, Tulane-UCF, and TCU vs Texas.

There are other intriguing matchups in College Football Week 11 such as Illinois vs Purdue in a game that could decide the Big Ten West title, as well as Kansas State vs Baylor — the Bears are still in the mix to defend their Big 12 crown.

I’m also watching LSU at Arkansas and North Carolina at Wake Forest. Those games in addition to TCU at Texas are some of the most important for the College Football Playoff chase. Georgia plays at Mississippi State, while Michigan hosts Nebraska and Ohio State welcomes Indiana to the Shoe.

Tennessee is also hosting Missouri. If it was a road game, maybe there would be more chance of an upset, but then again, in college football, nothing should ever surprise you.

So, we’ll offer some predictions for the key games and also upset picks for College Football Week 11.

TCU’s train comes crashing down

The Horned Frogs have been an incredible story this season. However, they haven’t had to play a team quite as good as Texas on the road and their cinderella story will end on Saturday.

At least in terms of it being an undefeated season. This would be an upset in terms of rankings, but Fan Duel has Texas as a 7.5-point favorite. Quinn Ewers, Xavier Worthy, and Bijan Robinson have Texas fans thinking Big 12 championship and this is a must-win to make that happen.

If the Longhorns win out, they are going to play for the Big 12 championship and that’s why I think you’ll see Steve Sarkisian get a defining win. It should have come against Alabama if Ewers didn’t get hurt but this defense will have enough answers for TCU’s Max Duggan and the Horns will win.

They will also cover the spread.
