Alabama football: 3 takeaways from gutsy road win at Ole Miss
1. Nick Saban is seemingly incapable of losing three games
It’s been over a decade since Nick Saban lost three games in a season. You’d have to go all the way back to 2010 to see the last time Saban lost more than two games in a single year and that’s actually one of the most insane stats in college football.
When his back is against the wall, Saban just wins big games.
Following a loss to a top-10 LSU team last week, Saban went into Oxford to face the No. 11 Rebels of Ole Miss needing a win to keep that two-or-less losses streak alive. And he delivered. Not only was this a huge win for that streak but it also means that the Tide are still somehow alive in the playoff race and they’re very much in play for a New Year’s Six bowl.
There’s a reason Saban is widely regarded as the greatest college football coach of all time and he proved that against one of the best teams in the nation on Saturday night.
