3. Florida State Seminoles (7-3, 5-3)

The Florida State Seminoles are playing good football at the right time. The ‘Noles have won three straight after losing three straight. Quarterback Jordan Travis continues to grow as a passer. They decimated the Syracuse Orange on the road this Saturday. The Seminoles play Louisiana this weekend before they play Florida in the season finale.

2. North Carolina Tar Heels (9-1, 6-0)

Do the Tar Heels have a shot at the College Football Playoff? The short answer is no. However, this is college football. Anything can happen. The ‘Heels need to defeat a one-loss Clemson in the conference title game and need a smidge of chaos around the country.

1. Clemson Tigers (9-1, 7-0)

The fact that people are saying the Clemson Tigers might be at the end of their dynasty is all Nick Saban’s fault. Clemson is going to win ten games and play for the ACC title again. DJ Uiagalelei has played better this year than he did last year. There is too much playoff or bust when it comes to evaluating Clemson and Dabo Swinney.

That said, winning a National Championship changes expectations. There is an expectation of national titles at Clemson, which in many ways unfair.
