Nebraska could accomplish very little against a tough Michigan team, taking their fourth straight loss. The Cornhuskers only had eight first downs and 146 total yards.

With Kansas bowl eligible, Nebraska is now the only Power Five team in the last five seasons to not gain bowl eligibility. Tough times in Lincoln.

Maryland showed up for their game against Penn State wearing their script Terp uniforms. That was the extent of the good for the Terps as they were clobbered 30-0 in a game that was worse than the final score indicated.

Absolutely nothing went right for Maryland and this seems to follow the pattern of previous seasons. The Terps start strong but fade as the season progresses and the calendar turns to November. The Terps will still go bowling this season but seven wins appear to be the ceiling now with Ohio State up next.

Wisconsin outgained Iowa but turned over the ball three times, falling to the Hawkeyes 24-10. Graham Mertz was inconsistent once again and the Badgers could not get going on the ground with Braelon Allen accumulating only 40 yards on 17 carries.

Jim Leonhard appears to be the guy to move the Badgers forward and they would benefit from a bowl game just for the extra practices. However, this season will ultimately be viewed as a disappointment for Badger fans. They travel to Nebraska this upcoming Saturday.
