Indiana was down to Michigan State 24-7 at halftime and 31-14 late in the 3rd quarter. The Hoosiers stormed back to tie the game and then won it in double overtime 39-31. The Hoosiers were outgained 540 to 288, had 18 less first downs, and had the ball 13 minutes less than the Spartans did and still came out with the victory. It was their first win since mid September.

Now that Indiana has some momentum back and the Old Brass Spittoon, they will look to add another trophy to their case when they host Purdue next Saturday.

Maryland played tough against Ohio State but ultimately came up short to the Buckeyes. The Terps also played Michigan well earlier this season but could not pull the upset against the Wolverines either. When the Terps are clicking though, they have a lot of weapons at their disposal.

Now the Terps have lost three in a row but they will still go bowling this season. They conclude their regular season hosting Rutgers, hoping to end on a high note.

Michigan State let one slip through their grasp, falling to Indiana in double overtime. Sparty special teams were far from special, giving up a kickoff return for a touchdown, missing a chip shot field goal at the end of regulation that would have won the game and then having a field goal blocked in the first overtime.

The Spartans blew a big opportunity to gain bowl eligibility. Now they will need to upset Penn State in Happy Valley in order to do so, no easy task.
