College Football Playoff Rankings 2022: Projected Top 25 for Week 13
For a quarter, it looked like Rutgers was going to give Penn State a run for its money, but the Nittany Lions out-scored the Scarlet Knights 45-0 in the final three quarters to run away with a 55-10 win.
Sitting at 9-2 overall and 6-2 in the Big Ten, the Nittany Lions have had another solid season under James Franklin, but the Big Ten title is out of the question.
Sean Clifford’s last season at Penn State has been a success, but you have to be excited for the future under center if you’re a Nittany Lion fan. Drew Allar is the future at quarterback and he could legitimately lead Penn State back to the promised land.
Freshman running back Kaytron Allen, too, is a bright spot and he’s going to help lead this offense in the future with Allar. This team has a lot to look forward to.
Plus, a top-10 finish to the 2022 season would be a heck of a consolation prize for not winning the Big Ten title.
