College Football Playoff Rankings 2022: Projected Top 25 for Week 13
I’ve said this before and I’ll say it again: the coaching job that Brian Kelly has done this year has been nothing short of elite.
In the season opener, I was ready to crucify Kelly for losing to Florida State in heartbreaking fashion, but since that defeat, LSU is 9-1 and sitting in the top 10 of the latest playoff rankings. Heck, there may be some pushing for the Tigers to be in the top five this week after beating UAB 41-10.
LSU has to go to College Station in the season finale to face a deflated Texas A&M team and while that should be a win, nothing on the road in the SEC comes easy. Kelly has to have his guys ready.
Jayden Daniels is having a nice season after transferring over from Arizona State and he seems to be improving as the year progresses. He had 297 yards and a touchdown on 22-of-29 passing against the Blazers on Saturday. He also rushed for 111 yards and a score. Noah Cain, too, had a big game, rushing for three scores.
LSU is proving to be elite, but I think the Tigers will stay at No. 6 because a win over UAB wasn’t as impressive as the new No. 5 team’s Week 12 win.
