Rivalry week was insane, folks. The College Football Playoff field has been flipped upside down as four of the top nine teams from last week’s rankings lost.

Yes, four teams have almost all but been eliminated from the playoff race. Insane.

The week started with the annual Egg Bowl as a ranked Ole Miss team hosted Mike Leach and Mississippi State and the Rebels were unable to hang on for a win and that will knock them from the final regular-season rankings. Oh, and Lane Kiffin avoids those Auburn rumors — for now.

Two more ranked teams lost on Friday as North Carolina couldn’t complete the comeback against NC State, losing in overtime for the Tar Heels’ second straight loss and Cincinnati fell at home against a really strong Tulane team. The Green Wave are now the Group of Five favorites to make the New Year’s Six.

On Saturday, Ohio State lost to Michigan for a second straight year, LSU choked a big road game against Texas A&M, Clemson fumbled away (literally) a win at home against South Carolina, and Oregon lost a thriller against Oregon State.

It was a crazy season finale for the College Football Playoff race and, honestly, I don’t know who should be the favorites to make the field outside of Michigan and Georgia.

What will the Week 14 rankings look like?
