College Football Playoff Rankings 2022: Projected Top 25 for Week 14
Brian Kelly and LSU had a chance to really capture a playoff spot heading into the SEC title game and even a close game against the Bulldogs would have given the Tigers a case to make the field (yes, even as a three-loss team), but they struggled in the season finale, losing at Texas A&M.
The Tigers went into College Station with a chance to beat up on a struggling Aggie team, but they just couldn’t pull it off, losing by two scores.
Former five-star freshman Conner Wiegman was really solid for the Aggies, out-dueling Jayden Daniels who has had a big year. The only LSU touchdowns on the day came from John Emery Jr. in the run game as he also finished with 55 yards rushing on nine carries. LSU will have to wait until next year to try and make a playoff appearance.
I do, however, see LSU remaining in the top 10, but the Tigers will drop five spots after this one.
