Here are your ACC Power Rankings heading into Championship Weekend.

Then one day he took you away
Why did it happen? Who can say?
Now all that there is left for me
It is just a precious memory.

That’s life, that’s life.
You take the joy; you take the sorrow.
That’s life, that’s life.
You’re here today and gone tomorrow.

Here today, Gone Tomorrow by Ray Conniff.

Welcome back to headquarters, where we are all wearing black this week in mourning because it seemed like yesterday we were listening to Clemson fans clamor for Cade Klubnik in spring ball. Hokies’ fans were lamenting Hendon Hooker’s success at Tennessee. Now, we are at championship weekend.

College football has the shortest regular season in sports.

The ACC won’t have a representative in the College Football Playoff for the second year — more on that later — there were still some fantastic storylines in the conference this season.

Break out the Duke Blue Devils. First-year head coach Mike Elko led a team that was 5-18 the last two seasons to an 8-4 record, tied for second in the ACC Coastal. Mike Norvell led Florida State to its best record since Jimbo Fisher led the Seminoles to an Orange Bowl victory in 2016. The ‘Noles can match those 10 wins with a bowl game victory.

So, on to Charlotte, where Clemson and North Carolina will clash; here are your championship weekend power rankings.
